Elizabeth Arden

Elizabeth Arden opened her first Red Door store on Fifth Avenue itself in the early 1900s. Her basic belief was that beauty was not just about putting on a lot of makeup, but a collaboration between nature and science. Elizabeth Arden's list of legendary beauty products is long, but she is probably best known for her Eight Hour Cream, which today comes in several editions. She was the first to develop travel sizes and was the founder of the term make over.
