Medium golden colour. Pronounced aromas of caraway, anise and vanilla. Medium-bodied and intense aquavit with warming alcohol and medium finish. Serve neat and at room temperature with foods like traditional Norwegian dishes and Christmas dishes, and cattle and big game dishes, or in cocktails like Fjellbekk, Trident Cocktail and Swedish 60. The aquavit crossed the equator twice while maturing in sherry casks as deck cargo. This has to do with staying faithful to its traditional recipe, in order to call it a linie aquavit. Changes in temperature and movements on board a ship have given a complex and tasteful character.
