We care that you trust us and how we process your personal information. Below we therefore explain what we collect, why and how we use this information.
Personal information is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be, for example, name and contact information, purchase history or information about interests.
We, as the data controller, will ensure that we use personal information about you in accordance with the rules of law. You must be sure that information about you is well taken care of when you shop with us.

The purpose of collecting personal information in our services is to offer services such as pre-order (Click & retrieve), improve our services, send customized communication to you as a customer, offer you membership benefits, offers and promotions, and to understand your needs and build general knowledge about buying trends - which we ultimately want to benefit you as a customer. We explain more about this in point 5.
Tax Free Norway AS («TRN») processes information from pre-orders (Click & collect), via the loyalty program Tax Free & Me, at www.tax-free.no and purchases in our stores Tax Free Norway, Travel Value and Travel Value Fashion, at the airports OSL (Oslo Airport Gardermoen), BGO (Bergen Airport Flesland), SVG (Stavanger Airport Sola), TRD (Trondheim Airport Værnes) and KRS (Kristiansand Airport Kjevik).
Depending on what information you give us, how you use our services, and what permissions you give us, we have this information about you:
1. Information about you:
The information you provide when you create a profile and use Click & collect; such as name, email address, phone number and date of birth. If you have registered via our bank terminal and / or linked your payment card to your Tax Free & Me membership via My Page, your membership number will be recognized using the payment card. We do this so that we can automatically give you points on your purchases when you pay with the registered payment card. It is not possible for us to see your entire card number in any of our systems, we only store an ID that allows us to recognize you.
2. Purchase information:
Information about what you have bought, discounts used, coupons and payment method. If you have a profile with us, you will see an overview of your previous purchases from Click & collect.
3. Information about use of the website:
Information we receive when you use our website; what kind of device you used (mobile, tablet, PC / Mac), IP address, which pages you visited and what functions you used there. Read more about the use of cookies and cookies on our cookies.
4. Information from partners:
Information we receive from our partners as a flight number via your boarding pass.
5. Machine learning information:
Information and predictions we create automatically based on the other information (mentioned above) we have about you, such as your preferences and interests.
6. Communication:
Information you provide to us when you contact our customer center, such as emails you have sent us.
We store your information securely with us and will only process and store this as long as we have a need for this.
If you delete your profile, all information about you will be deleted in addition to the information required by the Accounting Act. When the Accounting Act's requirements for storage have expired, all information about you will be deleted.
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
1. Offer website:
We use the information to adapt our website to the device you use. We may also use the information to adapt the content of our website to what we think you are interested in.
2. Place orders:
We use the information from your reservations to send you order confirmations, prepare the order for the correct pickup time and to save purchase history.
3. Create My Page:
We use information if you create a profile, among other things to give you access to My Page with login, to save your contact information and for you to be able to see your purchase history and member information.
4. Customer service:
We store information that you provide and receive if you have contact with us in order to provide service.
5. Statistics:
We compile statistics and map market trends to improve and further develop our services. As far as possible, we do this with anonymous information - without the information being directly linked to you.
6. Marketing:
We use your contact information to send you recommendations and information about our products and services, if you have given us consent to this.
The legal basis for objectives 1, 4 and 5 is dealt with on the basis of legitimate interest.

We share your personal information with Gebr. Heinemann, who is a co-owner of TRN. According to the Personal Data Act, such division is called disclosure. Gebr. Heinemann is our partner and joint data controller, and processes your personal data on the same basis as TRN.
In certain cases, TRN may also disclose information to the authorities, if this follows from the law.
TRN does not sell personal information to third parties, but we share personal information with companies that provide technical and administrative services to us, such as IT suppliers. In such cases where our suppliers gain access to your information, agreements are entered into to safeguard your privacy and information security. Suppliers we currently share your information with can be found under point 7.
We share personal information with companies that provide technical and administrative services to us. According to the Personal Data Act, such companies are data processors and process information in accordance with instructions given by TRN in accordance with data processor agreements with TRN.

The overview may change from time to time. In these cases, we update this privacy statement and notify you of changes as described in section 9.
We can also share anonymised information with partners for, among other things, market analysis and service development.
We use cookies on our websites to ensure functionality, analyze traffic and see which areas of our website you have visited or are interested in. Read more on our page about cookies.
TRN may change the Data Privacy Statement and terms of consent in order to adapt it to changed legal situations, or if changes in our own practice for the collection and processing of personal data so require.
In the event of changes that require consent, you will be asked to consent to new terms when you log on to taxfree.no.
Information about other changes will be provided on taxfree.no or via e-mail if you have agreed to it.
Registering a profile on tax-free.no is optional.
You can always shop in our stores, Tax Free Norway, Travel Value and Travel Value Fashion, at the airports OSL (Oslo Airport Gardermoen), BGO (Bergen Airport Flesland), SVG (Stavanger Airport Sola), TRD (Trondheim Airport Værnes) and KRS (Kristiansand Airport Kjevik), without a registered customer account.
If we have collected and processed your personal information, you have the right to request access, update, correct, or delete all your personal information.
You can do this when you are logged in to tax-free.no via My Page. Here you can also manage your consents. Logged in, you have access to your personal information and your purchase history from Click & collect (store, date, products, total amount) as well as any membership in the loyalty program Tax Free & Me.
Other stored information can be obtained by contacting customer service at kundeservice@tax-free.no. Customer service must also be contacted if you require changed information that you can not change yourself by logging in to tax-free.no.
If you delete your profile, all information about you will be deleted in addition to the information required by the Accounting Act stored for 5 years. When the Accounting Act's requirements for storage have expired, all information about you will be deleted.
